Our lovely Director Caroline Burstein was recently asked some insightful questions regarding Browns Bride, future trends and the perfect wedding location ! . .

1. Browns Bride offers a service and collection of designers that are second to none - could you tell us a bit more about what brides can expect when they book an appointment with you.
Brides can expect a very warm greeting from someone who loves what they do and has a deep knowledge of the designers, their gowns and accessories that we carry. The bride will spend an hour where she will offered beverage including ‘bubbly’, but above all help and styling advice to find her dress.

2. What designers and trends are proving popular for 2011/12?
I don’t ever see a trend as such. Each bride is an individual who wants to look and feel her best on her wedding day and what can look perfect on one girl can look awful on the next. If there is a trend, it is probably that wedding dresses today get lighter and lighter and are therefore easier to wear.

3. I'm sure you have looked after some very discerning clients, could you share a wish list personality that you'd like to see walk into Browns Bride
Yes we have had some amazing clients and continue to do so. However I am not so interested in having ‘personalities’ for personalities sake- I am more interested in them being a ‘nice’ person who is open to suggestion and fun to be with.

4. Do you hold customer events and if so have you got any coming up.
We regularly hold customer events, our next will be a trunk show for Peter Langner where we will be introducing is newest S/S 12 collection. We have the details under our ‘events ‘page in the bridal section.

5. What currently, are your favourite pieces from the Browns Bride collection (including dress, shoes, and accessories?)
I love our newest Monique Lhuillier dress ‘ Bailey’, our Valentino shoes with their wonderful bow, and my favourite accessory to date are our new silk chiffon de-constructed roses that compliment so many of our dresses in such a modern way.

6. Are there any new and emerging bridal designers that you are watching?
I love Delphine Manivet from Paris who has a wonderful chic ‘Boho’ collection- totally unique and very beautiful. We have just taken on her collection and it is already doing very well.

7. What's the most common request you get from brides when they come to see you.
There is no one common request – really! Each bride is unique and her quest is her own. However they do all ask ‘what do you think’ to us- and we always tell them in reply’ It’s about how you feel’!

8. Looking at past high profile weddings, whose style have you admired.
I’m like the majority I am sure; it’s hard to beat Grace Kelly, Audrey Hepburn, Princess Margaret or Caroline Kennedy. More recently, the lovely singer ‘Pink’ looked amazing in her Monique Lhuillier dress.

9. If you could suggest one ideal wedding venue, where would it be (UK or abroad)
The Fenice Opera House in Venice.

10. What, in your opinion, makes a 5 Star Wedding?
When there is attention to every detail, from Bride’s dress to her fiancĂ©e’s suit down to the ushers and bridesmaids- and entertainment- good  taste and great  style are critical to the end…..
